Cookie Mining 101

This was a fun (and delicious) activity to teach about the process of extracting minerals from the earth while causing as little environmental impact as possible. Students had to extract chocolate chips out of Chips Ahoy cookies, getting as many as possible, and return the crumbs to the original site - within the circle on the graph paper. See how it's done...

Okay, so this newsletter was a little more than I could read this morning before work, and so I scrolled down really fast to the video, of what I thought to be Kathy doing something wierd to a cookie. Hey, wouldn't put it past her. When I finally read the fine print above, the true genius of the cookie project emerged. My question to you is, was this your idea. If so, you're destined for greatness, buddy. By the way, if you have to discontinue this newsgram, I'll bet it would be to silence the rif-raf like me.
